Snapshot from Lech Majewski’s art exhibition at Kathmandu

The exhibition titled “Visual Language of Lech Majewski. Polish Art Posters” was inaugurated by Ms. Małgorzata Tańska, Deputy Director, Polish Institute New Delhi, on 17 August 2018, at the Nepal Art Council, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Thirty colorful posters, created by Majewski, brightened-up the venue. There was a wide variety of posters on-display, made by the Polish artist for theater plays, festivals, and international exhibitions etc.

Mr. Sagar SJB Rana, Vice President, Nepal Art Council, addressed the audience at the exhibition. He emphasized on the role of art and culture in strengthening ties between Poland and Nepal. He also appreciated the efforts of the Polish Institute New Delhi, on introducing Polish art to people of Kathmandu.

The venue was packed with art enthusiasts and music lovers.

The evening unfolded with a delightful jazz performance.

Fomofo Band members keyboard artist Abhisek Bhadra, drums player Kiran Shahi, bass guitarist Bijent Bikram Shah and electric guitarist Jacek Chmiel enthralled the audience with their beautiful melody, harmonious notes and creative improvisations.
