Seikon at St+Art Festival in Mumbai

St+Art Festival presents the best of Indian street art as well as providing a collaborative platform for street artists from all over the world. Among the invited international artists are Seikon from Poland, Akacorleone (Portugal), Ano9 (Taiwan), Bond (Germany), Tona (Germany), Daan Botlek (Netherlands), Dome (Germany), Gomez (Italy), Pobel (Norway), and Tika (Switzerland).
Indian artists participating in the Festival include Amitabh Kumar, Anpu , Daku, Inkbrushme, Mr. Sing, Ranjit Dahiya ,Tyler, Jas Charanjiva , and Yantr.
The Festival is a celebration of mural paintings and varied street art styles, and is complimented by creative workshops, curated walks, and documentary screenings. The exhibition showcasing the work of the street artists will take place in two phases – Magma Vol I will be held at the abandoned St. Jude bakery in Bandra from 15th November to 15th December; Magma Vol II will be showcased at Upadrastha House in Kala Ghoda between 16th November and 15th December.
A workshop for children from Dharavi organized by EUNIC countries based in India (European Union National Institutes for Culture) is planned for 18th November and will involve the participation of Seikon, Daan Botlek and Tona.
About the Artist
Seikon, the Polish artist participating in the Festival is a freelance artist who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. His work revolves around graphic design and painting, and he has been active in the world of art and the public sphere since 1999. Seikon specializes in creating unique geometrical patterns which transform diverse surfaces with the use of color and design. Currently Seikon has a growing interest in art forms composed of light, sound and installation.
