Polish artist Juliusz Zenkner is a resident at the third edition of Khoj International Artists’ Association’s gaming residency, entitled Of Games taking place from 7 September through 15 October 2015 in New Delhi.
Through this residency Khoj tries to explore the ideas of game and play through the lens of contemporary art practice. The theme of Of Games – III is Community. Participating residents in this year’s program are: Chinmayee Samant, Jiten Thukral & Sumir Tagra, Krishnarjun Bhattacharya, Mario D’Souza & Sanket Jadia, Leonardo Castenada and Juliusz Zenkner.
Juliusz Zenkner holds a Masters of Arts degree from the University of Warmia and Mazury, Olsztyn where he studied traditional painting and animation. Between 2010 – 2015 he worked at the post-production studio “Platige Image” on commercials and movies like Jerzy Skolimowski’s “Essential Killing” or Lars von Trier’s “Melancholia”. He also worked as an independent illustrator and concept artist for books, games and movies. In 2014 he joined independent game development studio “Robot Gentleman” as an Art Director for the game “60 Seconds!” which premiered in May 2015.
